Konjac Sponge

Let us introduce to you: the konjac sponge, a gentle and cleansing exfoliant made from the Konjac root, a porous root from Asia. Here are some facts and tips about this new miracle cure.

Konjac Sponge is extremely gentle on your skin

Konjac sponges are very, very sweet to your skin. They are gentler than a scrub and therefore ideal for daily exfoliation. You can also use them if you have sensitive skin, suffer from rosacea or dry flakes that are difficult to get rid of without irritating your skin.

Konjac Sponge is ideal for removing your make-up

They really take off all makeup. When used with cleanser and water, they remove more makeup than your hands alone. You can even use the sponge to remove mascara and other eye make-up.

Konjac Sponge gives you a radiant complexion

The konjac sponge gently exfoliates your skin by removing dead skin cells and giving your skin an even, radiant complexion. And the more you use the sponge, the more visible the results will be. Just don't expect the extremely shiny skin that you would get from a peel or a facial.

Konjac Sponge deep cleanses in just a few steps

How do you use the konjac sponge now? Well, very simple! Immerse the new sponge in water for about 5 to 10 minutes so that it expands and becomes soft. Remove them from the water and squeeze well so that all the excess water disappears (never wring!). Then add your cleanser and move the sponge over your skin in circular motions. When your skin is cleansed, rinse the sponge and hang it up to dry.

Konjac Sponge will not make your acne go away

While some companies claim their sponges use ingredients like coal to remove impurities from the skin, you shouldn't expect this to actually happen. They don't contain the active coal that would make the difference.

Konjac Sponge has an expiration date

Despite the fact that some sponges claim to be antibacterial, they are not self-cleaning. Therefore, always rinse your konjac sponge well after each use and throw it away after a month. For good hygiene, it is important to regularly disinfect the sponge by placing it in boiling water for a few minutes. The sponge can also be put in the washing machine, but put it in a laundry bag.

Konjac sponge can be used on the whole body

Konjac sponges were invented by Japanese farmers and initially used to wash babies because the sponge is so soft and natural. So you can use them all over your body, especially on places (such as the chest or back) that sometimes suffer from acne and need an extra deep cleaning.

Konjac Sponge can be composted

Because they are 100% biodegradable, you can simply throw them on the compost heap after use along with your green waste.
